The two different styles still evoke the meanings of the book, one through icons, the other through lettering. The iconographic cover is in two pieces to emphasize Esther's detachment from the rest of the world while the icons represent specific symbols within the book. The dark color scheme further enforces the dark nature of the book. The hand-lettered cover contains subtle electricity lines in the flourishes, sharp points in the lettering, and heart and electric details within some letterforms. These combined with the dreary green and yellow color scheme evoke the emotions explored in this book.
